Josh Seidman has been interviewed on the Internet Radio Show the Powerful Patient aired last week where he was able to promote SPM

Danny Sands completed the last of three videos about participatory medicine, produced by Clinical Care Options and funded by Genentech. SPM is named on each presentation. The videos will be available in Feb.

Sarah Krug is working on disease states specific CME activities that teach clinicians how to integrate participatory medicine into practice.  Several CME activities were launched in 2014.

Development
We continued our discussion about the proposed SPM Gala and agreed that we want to engage our members in this event, offer them seats at sponsored tables. We also discussed presenting sponsor lifetime membership awards to sponsors, as well as holding a private event, where sponsors could meet some of SPM’s superstar members. We will have an opportunity to promote the gala at HIMSS. We are looking at a potential date for the gala during Health IT week in Washington D.C. September of 2015.

Julia is working on a grant proposal to fund our Best Practice Exchange initiative and is thinking about opportunities for securing funding around the Journal and other communication initiatives.

HIMSS
Once again HIMSS has offered SPM two complimentary admissions for our members, as well as a member discount and the opportunity to participate in the not-for-profit group kiosk. We will promote the HIMSS conference to our membership via email.
