Strategic Initiatives

Eric Glazer proposed to work on External Communication along with Dave DeBronkart

Discussed the need for a project management tool and the Executive Committee approved a budget of up to $40 per month if needed.

Graphic Donna Cryer

A graphic was created to focus our discussion on our strategic initiative; demonstrate how everything interrelates and help us communicate. At the center is our focus on best practices in participatory medicine for physicians, patients and health systems. By the end of this year we should have a deliverable that is easy to communicate and includes best practices in participatory medicine. The Learning Exchange, the Journal, fundraising and internal and external communications are all support arms of the central theme. The Executive Committee was asked to send to Danny any comments, suggestions, additions to the graphic.

Alliances and Relationships

Danny and Donna raised the issue of how to create guidelines on how these relationships should look. Need to bring in Kyra’s work on corporate development.

American College of Radiology –

We have an opportunity to work with them to develop best practices in radiology. Sarah recruited them as a corporate member.

Conferences

Health Data Palooza is holding a sponsored reception in Washington DC in May. Donna will be there.

Corporate Outreach Donna and Kyra

Working on two ideas:

  1. Staff to support our work. Lack of staff has held us back so we have reached out and solicited proposals from outside fundraisers to jump start our corporate fundraising efforts.
  2. Each member of the Board and EC need to provide our personal corporate contacts to someone who will take charge of soliciting them as SPM members

Next call, March 22, is a full board meeting.
