Sarah K., Danny S., Alan G., Deb L., Lygeia Ricciardi and other select ONC representatives.
  1. Follow up on Patient Access to Data:  Work needed to propel this project forward in 3 future focus areas that might be of interest to SPM:
    • Blue Button changes: See ONC Blog Post for greater detail (re-branding effort – patients getting access to their data – patient id – structured output beyond ASCII email)
    • SPM to Link to ONC HealthIT Pledge Program and animation to help cross promote
    • ONC NCI consumer engagement/care coordination in Cancer Care: Access Action Attitude is being narrowed down to real-world usecases with long term illness. State of TX trial is an example of one of these unique outreach usecases because they will be focusing on a specific disease and specific region.
      • Synergy with Cancer101 and SPM’s interest in providing resources to those newly diagnosed. Helping people understand the landscape and what patients can do with their data once they have access and a platform
      • This is also a way to invest in cancer education with a long term plan to scale to other long term diseases
    • July 16th there’s going to be a meeting of National e-health Collaborative (NEHC) lead by Kate Barry in DC – it would be great if SPM leadership could attend.
    • Second week of September is National HIT week (an event similar to Health Innovation Week in DC): This might be a good opportunity for SPM to present the Seal Program — September 10, 2012,
  2. Review of SPM Seal program
    • ONC Pledge and Seal cross linking (decided above)
    • This cross linking will compliment each other – give the two groups a reason to go to yelp together – and help get a consistent strategy together
  3. Review of SPM Module for clinicians and patients to become more participatory
  4. Review of SPM Strategic Plan
  5. Is there an opportunity for partnership?
    • ONC can link to SPM but a formal partnership or funding would be too complex to establish at this time
