e-Patients.net is hosting Grand Rounds next Tuesday, October 12.

We’re asking this week’s Grand Rounds bloggers to create posts inspired by, supportive of, or critical of articles in the Journal of Participatory Medicine. We have a great reason for focusing on the Journal: e-Patients.net is the site from which the Society for Participatory Medicine emerged, and is now the Society’s blog, curated by ePatient Dave deBronkart. The Society also publishes the Journal of Participatory Medicine, which is a peer-reviewed, open access journal with the mission to transform the culture of medicine to be more participatory. Our intention has been for the Journal to inspire many conversations, more research, and more innovation. When we were asked to host Grand Rounds, we saw an opportunity to engage healthcare bloggers to help with that first intention – inspire conversations – understanding that those conversations will help realize the other intentions re. research and innovation.

Instructions for the October 12 Grand Rounds:

  • As a Grand Rounds blogger, we ask you to select a particular item in the Journal, or think about the Journal as a whole, or some aspect of the Journal, and write about that in your blog this week. It’s okay to be critical (in a constructive way, of course.)
  • When your item is published, please send a link to grandrounds at e-patients.net by the end of the day on Sunday, October 10. We’ll publish the list of entries here on Tuesday, October 12.

Please consider supporting the Society by joining us today! Thank you.
