On September 6th the IOM will release a new report on building a learning healthcare system, \u201cBest Care at Lower Cost\u201d. I\u2019ve been proud to be part of the committee that has worked on the report for the last two years; I\u2019ve learned so much. It is an exciting report that appropriately includes among its very strong content and recommendations, specifics related to patient and family centered care and personal and public engagement.
