{"id":8135,"date":"2011-01-03T11:13:23","date_gmt":"2011-01-03T15:13:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pmedicine.org\/epatients\/?p=8135"},"modified":"2011-01-03T11:21:39","modified_gmt":"2011-01-03T15:21:39","slug":"six-us-health-systems-to-share-data","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/participatorymedicine.org\/epatients\/2011\/01\/six-us-health-systems-to-share-data.html","title":{"rendered":"Six US health systems to share data"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For those who believe in the power of facts, some wonderful news from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmio.net\/index.php?option=com_articles&amp;view=article&amp;id=25591\" target=\"_blank\">CMIO<\/a>, 12\/15\/10: &#8220;Six of the nation&#8217;s leading healthcare systems \u2014\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmio.net\/_news\/organization\/Cleveland+Clinic\">Cleveland Clinic<\/a>, Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Denver Health,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmio.net\/_news\/organization\/Geisinger+Health+System\">Geisinger Health System<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmio.net\/_news\/organization\/Intermountain\">Intermountain<\/a> Healthcare and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cmio.net\/_news\/organization\/Mayo+Clinic\">Mayo Clinic<\/a> \u2014\u00a0will join the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice in a collaboration to improve healthcare quality while reducing costs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The six healthcare systems, with a combined patient population of more than 10 million people, will share data on outcomes, quality and costs across a range of common and costly conditions and treatments.
