{"id":8481,"date":"2011-02-18T00:50:50","date_gmt":"2011-02-18T05:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pmedicine.org\/epatients\/?p=8481"},"modified":"2011-02-18T00:51:33","modified_gmt":"2011-02-18T05:51:33","slug":"ihi-releases-video-of-spms-keynote","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/participatorymedicine.org\/epatients\/2011\/02\/ihi-releases-video-of-spms-keynote.html","title":{"rendered":"IHI releases video of SPM&#8217;s keynote"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) has generously\u00a0released the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/epatientdave.com\/2011\/02\/18\/video-of-our-talk-at-the-ihi-forum-2010\/\" target=\"_blank\">session video<\/a> of the keynote that SPM president\u00a0Dr. Danny Sands and I delivered at the IHI&#8217;s annual Forum in December.<\/p>\n<p>At this event the IHI did two extraordinary patient-oriented things: they invited fifty patients to attend at no cost, and then they put this story of patient engagement at the top of the agenda, right after the opening keynote by IHI president Maureen Bisognano.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the IHI for their commitment to patient engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Health 2.0 similarly scheduled a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.health2con.com\/sf2010\/patients-2-0\/\" target=\"_blank\">Patients 2.0<\/a> event at their fall conference.
