\nNick Dawson and Sarah Krug will be speaking at the National Patient Adherence Conference on participatory Medicine and patient education.
\nWe will have a full SPM board meeting on Tuesday February 24 including introductions of our four new board members and a discussion of the challenges and opportunity for SPM going forward. A full agenda will be sent in the next few days.<\/p>\n
\nDave deBronkart is putting together a follow up communication that will incorporate our mission based on our four pillars:\u00a0 Community, Advocacy, Research and Education (CARE).<\/p>\n
\nJulia and Nancy composed an outreach solicitation letter to all subscribers of the Journal of Participatory Medicine and all of our blog followers who are not currently members of SPM.\u00a0 This mailing brought in approximately 5 new individual members Copies of the letter are available to all members of SPM who may wish to solicit their own colleagues to help increase our membership.
\nOnce again we are working with HIMSS and have been offered two free registrations and reduced registrations for SPM members who wish to go to HIMSS.
\nJulia is preparing a grant application from Cambia to fund our Round Table initiative. She is also investigating opportunities with others funds including the Commonwealth Fund and looking for funding for our Journal.<\/p>\n
