Forum Platform (John)

Group reviewed forum platforms (>12)

We failed to identify needs up front

Need platform to be easy to use

Question about fate of Listserv–maybe can leave it up and allow people to drift over?

They identified some suggestions: Google Groups, Yahoo Groups, Ning

Google Groups may be favored

Need administrator for this

Also moderator(s), but could be same as administrator

Motion carries: Google Groups.

John to inform and recruit admin/moderator

John’s Jobs (need to be separated):

  • Treasurer
  • Membership coordinator, customer support
  • Website support

John happy to consider running again for treasurer, but only if we can get someone to take on membership responsibilities (website management not a big task right now).

Research Repository (Gonzalo)

Need working group to review in detail – Gonzalo to recruit
