Precision Medicine Champions of Change:
Three members of the Society have been named as White House Champions of Change. These patients were honored for the innovative work they are doing to advance our understanding of health and disease by harnessing data to taking into account individual differences in people’s genes, environments, and lifestyles to improve patients’ health.They include: Hugo Campos, Amy Gleason and Emily-Kramer Golinkoff
Executive Committee Nominations and Elections
In early September we will be sending out a call for nominations for two members-at-large nominated by our membership, and for a President elect and Treasurer, nominated by the Executive Committee. The elections will take place in early September. Interested parties should contact a member of the Executive Committee.
Conference Participation at Connected Health and other conferences: Help Needed
We need to obtain buttons and put together materials that could be disseminated at the conference. We need  a team of individuals who can organize and mobilize to cover a booth which will maximize our presence. Looking for volunteers to help with this effort.
Learning Exchange
The Learning Exchange is an opportunity for our members to showcase their work. We will be doing a trial run on Google Hangouts for the Learning Exchange at our next Executive Committee meeting. We want to encourage our members to apply as participants in the Learning Exchange.
SPM Digital Strategy – We have been offered the services of an intern by our member, Lisa Gualtieri, professor of health communication at Tufts University. The intern will assist us by producing a paper that will outline a digital strategy for the Society, as part of her course work. Danny will coordinate with her.
