We have three openings on the Executive Committee: Two members at large and the President Elect. A letter will go out to the membership seeking nominations for the members at large. The President Elect is nominated by the Executive Committee. We are also planning to increase our board and will announce the new board appointments soon.
Corporate Sponsorships Update, Danny Sands
We have been in conversations with several companies regarding corporate sponsorships. At Health 2.0 WEGO Health, a marketplace for expert patients with specific conditions. sponsored our reception.At Connected Health, which is coming up October 20, 21, EMD Serono, a biotech company that is creating an eHealth ecosystem that helps patients adhere to their medical treatments will be sponsoring our reception along with MedStartr, a crowdfunding platform designed specifically for healthcare.
Learning Exchange Update, Sarah Krug
The three individuals who are presenting have submitted their slides and we are setting a firm date for the first Learning Exchange for late October or early November. We will be using Go To Webinar, a Live webinar as opposed to an archived webinar. We will create an archive of the session so people will be able to access it. We will be sending out a communication to the membership to invite them to attend this first Learning Exchange. We are allowing a two-week time frame for registration. We will also promote the Learning Exchange via social media and to our member list, inviting our members to invite their colleagues to this first session.
Crowdfunding for the Big Heist
SPM has engaged in a partnership with David Chase who is producing a movie, The Big Heist, about the current status of healthcare. More details to follow.
Membership Drive
Our member survey results are currently being compiled. Conclusions from the results should help us recruit new members

We are planning a board retreat either on Saturday, November 19 or Saturday, December 10.
