Elections/Nominations, Danny Sands  
Nominations are now open for President Elect. This is an interesting and worthwhile opportunity to give back and take a leadership role in the Society. Anyone who is interested, please contact Danny Sands. We also have one candidate for Member at Large.  We will be sending a letter to the membership soliciting additional nominations.

Journal update, Danny Sands

We are in discussion with the Journal editors to address their concerns that they are under- resourced and their calls for reviewers are unheeded. The difficulty finding reviewers impedes their ability to publish new articles.  Danny will be meeting with the Journal editors to work out a strategy going forward.

New forum software, Peter Elias

Peter Elias discussed the recommendation of a small workgroup to contract with Higher Logic to implement a new transparent software platform that would enable better communication across our membership to replace the listserv.  Three individuals have committed to fund the first year contract with Higher Logic. The Executive Committee voted to bring this matter to the Board at their next meeting on November 1 for a final vote.

We are moving forward with a redesign of our website currently using in- house resources and funding. A new member, Judy Danielson, has volunteered to help

Membership drive, Mark Reifsteck We decided we would launch a membership drive by encouraging each of our existing members to find two new members for SPM.   Email texts will be sent to everyone to assist them with this effort. 

Sept/Oct Conference Events, Danny Sands

We will hold receptions at two Fall events:  Health 2.0 scheduled for Monday September 27 and Connected Health scheduled for Thursday, October 20 We are looking for a sponsors for these events.
