Peter Elias announced that the Society will hold its first conference, Participatory Medicine: Transforming the Culture of Care, on October 25, 2017, at Boston’s Seaport Convention Center in conjunction with the Personal Connected Health Alliance annual conference.  Registration fee for the SPM Conference will be $100 for members and $175 for non-members.  The Society is pleased to announce an intriguing line-up of keynote speakers, including Thomas Delbanco, M.D., co-director of OpenNotes, Liz Salmi, senior multi-media communications manager at OpenNotes, Rushika Fernandopulle, M.D., co-founder and CEO of Iora Health, Lori Wilson, M.D., associate professor of surgery at Howard University College of Medicine, Harlan Krumholz, M.D.,  director of the Yale Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), and Shannon Brownlee, MSc., senior vice-president of Lown Institute.
