Peggy Zuckerman is involved with the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine where she is developing a patient tool kit and is working on their conference that will be held in Washington D.C. in mid-December.

Development

Julia presented an update on fund-raising that is currently in the pipeline and proposed that the Society sponsor a Gala Event in Washington D.C. that could galvanize people who are passionate about participatory medicine.  The purpose of this event would be to identify and present awards to individuals who have made a significant contribution to participatory medicine.

White Paper

We are looking into updating the White Paper written by Tom Ferguson and the e-Patients Scholars Working Group, entitled:  e-Patients how they can help us heal health care. This would be a 2.0 version to define the movement today, showing the way and recognizing the people who are doing it.
