Board retreat planning discussed.

Projects discussed include: compiling lists of potential collaborations and relationships, doing a competitive analysis of online journals.
Conference discounts and membership recruitment
Medicine X has offered SPM the opportunity have a table in the reception area to distribute information to new members who signed up when they registered for Medicine X. We are investigating the possibility of having a video booth where people can relay their participatory medicine story
The Healthcare Unbound Conference has offered our members a discount. Given that this is a late opportunity, we are confirming whether one hundred dollar member discount on registration retroactive for all members who have signed up.
We are investigating several other opportunities to collaborate with conference planners and obtain discounts for our members and encourage new members to join.

Managing editor responsibilities discussed.

We are preparing a letter that will be sent to all our members focused on volunteerism and an appeal for members to get involved. Also asking for nominations for the Board and Executive Committee –

We are drafting a job description for a Director of Development
Patient Access to Data
The topic of patient access to their data (GMDD) has been widespread on the listserve and we discussed the opportunity for SPM to spearhead a formal education campaign around this.
PCORI grant meeting
A meeting was held with Improved diagnosis in Medicine to develop a research proposal for a PCORI grant
