Minutes for the April 9 and April 18 Executive Committee meetings were approved

Executive Director Update:

Developing a Rolodex of contacts to recruit both members and corporate sponsors. Will be sending a request to Board asking for each member to submit three leads that could result in sponsorships or donations.

Several  Foundations are now in the strategic planning process.  We are reaching out to them to see if they are interested in an alliance with us to work on patient engagement.

Barbara recently spoke at an IOM workshop where she promoted our “white paper”, the Seal Program and the concept of participatory medicine. Letters are going out to all of the participants of the workshop, soliciting them for SPM membership.

A membership brochure is being completed that can be used as a hand-out at meetings and will be posted on our website.

We are creating a link on our website so people can contact our executive director with questions and suggestions. barbara.kornblau@participatorymedicine.org

Several members have stepped up to volunteer to handle such projects as tweet chats, the blog, our forums and other programs.  We are still seeking more members. Reminder, only members can write for e-patients.net and articles have to be relevant to participatory medicine.
