ED Search & Updates                                                                                                       Hennings

Lindsay de Santis joins as ED July 1. Need sound onboarding plan. Mary goes over her outline for the plan. Similar to work onboarding but slightly different. This is full year plan. We will hear from Lindsay, so becomes a two-way plan. Lindsay will have an operational role. Do we want to provide an intro to the executive committee? Judy says board can help Lindsay with prioritizing. Danny says every board member needs to make themselves available to her. Judy suggests Lindsay’s first week be structured. Judy suggests we send a virtual welcome card. Take her out to lunch with local Boston members. Make sure she sits in on committee meetings. Need to set up Lindsay on Slack and Connect. Mary asks how Board relates to Lindsay? Matthew says she should be asked and informed about everything going on. Lindsay should come to all Board meetings and eventually co-run them. Mary says we want Lindsay to “be a leader.” Mary says she’s not a COO, but a real partner. Joe asks about high-level duties. Judy suggests we introduce her to the general SPM membership. Eric suggests a video introduction. Mary talks about a Town Hall. Joe will help with lunch plan.

Mary talks about characteristics. Style added. List provided and presented to Board for narrowing. Mary will provide questions for interviewees. Joe suggests we come up with 5 talking points to discuss with candidates. Joe will come up with points and send to Mary. Review of current list. Mary says list will expand and contract. Judy suggests Lisa Thompson. What do we want the Board to accomplish in the next few years? Board goes through the list to narrow it down. Mary suggests Board members email her with names the will talk to within one week.

Sue Woods wants help on Journal articles. Participate in brainstorming session. Sue wants more push to social media. Awareness.
