I wish I could have been at the Reshape2009 conference this month in the Netherlands. The Twitter buzz was stimulating, and the 6 minute opening video caused a lot of buzz. I didn’t get it all because it was in Dutch. Now, thanks to producer Lucien Engelen (@Zorg20, “Health 2.0”), here it is in English.
A lot of the statistics are from the mega-viral “Socialnomics” video, which emphatically answers the question “Is Social Media a Fad?” That’s worth a mind-blowing few minutes, too, if you haven’t seen it.
Excellent! Thanks for sharing, Dave.
Dave, thanks so much for this. I’ve been looking for recent status on what Gunther Eysenbach calls “apomediation,” a very academic term for patients doing Web 2.0 things like writing blogs, consulting/contributing to ratings sites, etc.
Judy,
Trisha Torrey has a lot about apomediaries, too, at Every Patient’s Advocate.
