Gangadhar & family

Gangadhar & family, 2009

Our next guest post from SPM member Gangadhar Sulkunte (Twitter @gangadhargs). See also his family’s intense personal e-patient story from 2009.

Gangadhar has responded to his experience by becoming participatory, even seeing where we need to participate in defining important policy issues like this. You can too – participate!

While I was writing my previous guest post for e-patients.net about patient centered outcomes, I noticed that there was no definition of patients centered outcomes in Wikipedia. Even Google does not come up with good results. So I decided to create the first entry for Patient Centered Outcomes on Wikipedia. It is here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Centered_Outcomes

Since this is an emerging topic in participatory medicine, when someone looks for information on Google, more often than not, they will end up in Wikipedia. I think it is important that we have a good definition of this term in Wikipedia. So through this blog post, I invite all the empowered patients and supporters of participatory medicine to weigh in to improve the definition of the term “Patient Centered Outcomes” on Wikipedia. By crowdsourcing the definition, we can make it better!
